Hopper-Lamphear has built many new home from the ground up and is
well versed and experienced in this market. Please keep in mind we
are not production builders that get in build whatever we want and
get out. Our projects are often times complex and detailed in the
extreme. This happens very easily when you’re working with a
homeowner and the project is very custom tailored to the owner’s
needs, wants and budgets. It is very common for us estimate a
project several times before we even put the shovel in the ground.
The homeowner may initially say they want ceramic tile in the shower
and then come back and say “No I’ve changed my mind I want Marble”.
These types of requests are not an issue for Hopper-Lamphear and we
address these issues all day every day.
New Home Construction is by far the easiest type of construction
there is. The homeowner is privileged enough to start with a blank
piece of paper and incorporate every thing they want right from the
start. As you can read in our website additions and renovations are
often much more challenging and much more limiting in what the owner
can do. The biggest factors in deciding whether to build new, add on
or renovate include:

Location
Schools
Resale value
Our recommendation is when you can build new do so. Many times this
isn’t an option for many reasons and Hopper Lamphear understands
that and will work with you no matter the situation to get your
dream home built whether it be new, added on, or renovated.
